Winner - Amaia Lucarrelli Anderson, Peel Brow Primary School

The winner of James Daly's Christmas Card Competition. The image depicts a whimsical night scene in a rustic -Ramsbottom - village. A full moon dominates the night sky, casting a silvery glow over the landscape. Against the moon, the silhouette of Father Christmas and his reindeer. Below, there is Peel tower on a hilltop, part of the rural setting. The foreground shows the roofs and chimneys of stone cottages with a clear attention to the textures of the building materials. Two small figures appear to be walking along a village road, hinting at life in this quaint setting. The scene is reminiscent of classic storybook illustrations, evoking a sense of magic and folklore.

Runner Up - Alexander Zeilinski, Our Lady of Lourdes RC Primary School

The image shows a cheerful, hand-drawn snowman against a white background. The snowman is depicted with a jovial expression, featuring a wide smile, a carrot nose, and two eyes made of small black dots. It wears a bright blue hat with a purple band and a pink pompom on top, and a red scarf is wrapped around its neck. One of the snowman's brown branches for arms is raised, holding a blue mitten, while the other arm is adorned with a mitten of the same color. A small snowflake design is visible on the snowman's body. Above the snowman, the words "Merry Christmas" are written in a childlike red script, adding to the festive and joyful theme of the drawing.

Runner Up - Sophie Elsie Lomax, Tottington Primary School

The image displays a charming and creative representation of a robin, stylized in a child's drawing. The bird stands upright on two stick-like legs atop a log, portrayed with a rounded body primarily in brown tones, and a distinctive red breast, a characteristic feature of a robin. The bird is accessorized with a blue scarf wrapped around its neck, adding a whimsical touch to the depiction. It has a simple, black dot for an eye and a pointed beak. The background suggests a night sky, illustrated in a deep blue with brush-like strokes, and adorned with silver stars and a sliver of a yellow crescent moon, which adds a dreamy quality to the scene. The artwork captures the essence of childhood creativity and presents a robin in a playful, anthropomorphic manner.

Runner Up - Sienna, Springside Primary School

The image presents a playful and straightforward representation of Santa Claus's iconic red coat as perceived through a child's artwork. The drawing is dominated by a vibrant red background created with horizontal strokes, imitating the texture of fabric. Across the center of the composition is a broad black horizontal band, depicting Santa's belt. At the center of the belt is a bright yellow square with a smaller black square inside it, representing the buckle. The drawing captures the essence of Santa's traditional outfit with its bold, simple shapes and festive colors, evoking the cheerful spirit of the holiday season.

Runner Up - Aesir, Hoyle Nursery School

The image is an endearing and creative artwork by a two-year-old, representing Christmas trees. The trees are abstractly portrayed with bright green paint, their outlines suggesting the triangular shape of traditional Christmas trees, possibly created with stamping techniques. Within the green areas, there are textured patterns that add a tactile dimension to the trees. Gold paint is used to stamp circular shapes amidst the green, reminiscent of festive baubles decorating the trees. The artwork, with its free-form approach and lively use of color, captures the essence of a child's perspective on the classic holiday symbol, conveying both innocence and festivity.
