James Daly apprenticeships Cosalea Downing Street

Abigail Kenyon and Louis Bancroft joined James Daly MP in Parliament as they celebrated completing apprenticeships in hospitality at local business Cosalea with Hopwood Hall College.

While there they had the opportunity to watch Prime Ministers’ Questions, visit Downing Street and met with the Minister for Apprenticeships, Robert Halfon MP, to talk about their experiences during their apprenticeships and the work they had done.

The Minister spoke at length with Abigail and Louis and thanked Cosalea for their commitment to skills. Over their time operating in Bury from their sites on Walshaw Road, Brandlesholme Road and The Hamers in Summerseat, they have offered 4 apprenticeships to local young people.

Abigail has just completed her Level 2 qualification and will now be moving on to complete her Level 3 qualification. Louis has completed his Level 3 qualification.

James Daly, MP for Bury North, said:

“It was absolutely brilliant to welcome Abs and Louis down to Westminster. Hearing about their hugely positive experiences was fantastic. Apprenticeships have the potential to be transformative for the lives of young people and it is excellent to see these opportunities for people in Bury. I would like to congratulate Abs and Louis on their achievement and thank Lisa and all the team at Cosalea for the work they do in supporting people into apprenticeships.”

Lisa Moore, Managing Director of Cosalea, said:

“Within Cosalea, our unwavering commitment lies in enhancing and developing our employees. Witnessing individuals flourish and ascend to leadership positions is not only a testament to their growth but also the most rewarding aspect of my own role in being an employer”

Abs said:

"Choosing Cosalea as my apprenticeship provider has been a transformative experience. It has not only allowed me to develop my confidence and leadership skills, but also provided me with the opportunity to be part of a dynamic business that constantly adapts and evolves. I highly recommend aspiring apprentices to choose employers like Cosalea, who prioritize talent development and offer invaluable growth opportunities."
