Covid Situation Update

Sunday, 7 February, 2021

I wanted to share with you a quick update about how things are going with combatting the pandemic here in Bury. There are three main takeaway points from this:

MEN Data

  1. That transmission rates are falling across Bury and have reduced to where we now have the second lowest rate in Greater Manchester.
  2.  We have distributed between 35 and 36 thousand doses of the vaccine. Our target for 15/02 is only 39,500 so everything is going very well.
  3. Fairfield Hospital are "cautiously optimistic" about their ability to get through the surge in patients.
