Our Plan for Bury North

Guaranteeing that Bury Council deliver the regeneration of Bury Market, using funding I have secured from Government, so local people have new opportunities to socialise and increase economic investment after the years we spent apart.

Crime and anti-social behaviour affect everybody in Bury, Ramsbottom and Tottington. We need to back our police, increasing their numbers and imposing tougher sentences for those who blight our communities.

Secured £7 million of Government Funding for Bury College’s STEM Innovation Centre and successfully lobbied to grant Bury College Institute of Technology Status to widen opportunities for young and adult learners in our town.

As part of the wider government investment in healthcare, I’m working to improve local services.  Local residents need to access a doctor’s appointment quickly and have access to first class healthcare facilities in our Borough

Champion our Green Belt and green spaces, working with communities and residents fighting Labour’s plan to destroy them.

We need to make sure that our area has its fair share of investment nationally, regionally and locally to support important cultural assets.
