Delivering our £100+ Million Government investment to Level up Bury

MyPlan - Local Economy
  • Guaranteeing that Bury Council deliver the regeneration of Bury Market, using funding I have secured from Government, so local people have new opportunities to socialise and increase economic investment after the years we spent apart.
  • Campaigning to deliver a SEND Hub and Armed Forces Veterans Hub in the town centre to provide bespoke support and integrated services to some of the most vulnerable in our community and to help those who have given so much for our country.
  • Continue my campaign  to redevelop Bury’s interchange and upgrade of the Metrolink using £80m of Government funding to provide an accessible gateway to our town so residents are connected to services they need across Greater Manchester

As a local business owner and employer, I know the challenges facing the high street in Bury, Ramsbottom and Tottington. I’m backing the Conservative Government to deliver economic recovery so that local businesses have the opportunities they need to thrive and create good, well paid jobs for local residents.

I persuaded Bury Council to submit a levelling up fund bid for £20 million to regenerate Bury Market and the wider town centre and am leading the campaign to persuade the government to invest these monies in our area.

I have campaigned to protect important heritage assets such as the Ramsbottom Co-op Theatre and sporting venues like Gigg Lane to ensure they re-open and benefit everyone in Bury. I am working with Bury Council to deliver a town plan for Ramsbottom and to bring government jobs to our area.
