Recently I have been looking at the issue of road safety across our communities and it has become clear that many people in the Greenmount area have serious concerns about how to tackle speeding and ensure that our roads are as safe as they can be.
There are particular concerns over Holcombe Road and the nearby roads which is why I am now joining with your local North Manor ward councillors, Cllr Liam Dean, Cllr Roger Brown and Cllr Khalid Hussein, to write to you today and ask that you share your views and experiences of this road. Your views will form the basis for our future efforts to get these important issues addressed.
The safety of all users of our roads, be that drivers or pedestrians, is an incredibly important issue to raise and can have extremely serious consequences when it is not given the attention that it deserves.
